Meet Bob
The story so far, and why the upgrades were worth doing properly.
Bob is a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 in that unmistakable burnt-orange metallic — the kind of bike that gets a second look parked outside the pub. Registered in January 2020, I'm only his second owner, and he's had a set of genuinely useful upgrades fitted rather than a cosmetic once-over, all chosen to make him better to ride and better to look after, not just louder or shinier.
Everything below has either been fitted by a previous keeper or maintained on schedule, with the receipts and history to back it up. He's had a full service, new brake fluid, a valve clearance check, two new tyres and a fresh exhaust in the last few months alone — this is a bike that's been looked after, not just ridden hard and sold on.
"Sounds epic — but not too loud." That's the Hitchcocks/Enfield Precision exhaust in a nutshell: a proper, deep parallel-twin note without upsetting the neighbours.
